Our Screening Process

At the heart of our practice is a rigorous three-step screening process that ensures every ingredient meets our standards for safety, efficacy, and excellence before becoming part of our curation.

Scientific Validation We start by doing a deep dive into the scientific literature to assess an ingredient’s safety, benefits, and performance. Only ingredients backed by research or guaranteed by centuries of traditional ethnobotanical use make it to the next stage.

Sensory & Performance Testing
Next, we order the ingredient and test it on ourselves, evaluating texture, compatibility with other ingredients, and—most importantly—visible results. If it doesn’t feel exceptional and deliver on its promise, it doesn’t move forward.

Blind Sourcing & Comparison
Once an ingredient proves its worth, we source it from multiple purveyors worldwide and conduct blind comparison tests to find the absolute best version. Only the highest-quality ingredients earn a place in our curation.

This process ensures that every ingredient we choose is effective, sensorially beautiful, and sourced with intention.
